Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee import/export logistics and ensure smooth transportation of goods.
  • Review and manage customs paperwork and compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts with freight carriers and suppliers.
  • Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of logistics strategies.
  • Prepare reports on import/export activity and performance metrics.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support related to shipping issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations affecting import/export activities.
  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to manage shipping costs.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Customs Regulations Thorough understanding of customs regulations and import/export procedures.
  • Logistics Management Ability to manage and coordinate inventory and logistics operations.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Attention to Detail Exceptional attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
  • Negotiation Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and freight carriers.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
  • Supply Chain Management Certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience in freight forwarding: Hands-on experience in managing freight forwarding operations.
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Afrikaans.
