In this role, you will evaluate insurance applications, analyze risk, and make informed underwriting decisions to ensure the right coverage for clients. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough market research to identify competitive underwriting practices.
• Assist in establishing underwriting policies and procedures.
• Evaluate reinsurance options and negotiate terms where applicable.
• Participate in industry seminars and workshops to enhance knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting with a focus on commercial insurance

• Client Relationship Management

Certifications

• Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)
• Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) certification
