Legal Advisor

Job Description

We are searching for a capable Legal Advisor to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of legal principles and practices, particularly in corporate law, and be able to provide timely and effective legal advice to support our operations.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.
• Review, draft, and negotiate various legal agreements.
• Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments.
• Provide training to staff on compliance and legal procedures.
• Assess legal documentation and prepare necessary filings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve legal objectives.
• Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with company activities.
• Participate in strategic planning and policy development.

Requirements

Education

• BA in Law or related field
• Additional qualifications in corporate law are beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a legal advisory role with a focus on corporate law

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
