Job Description

As a Legal Counsel at Legal Solutions Corp., you will be integral to our operations, tasked with advising on various legal matters, drafting contracts, and mitigating risk. We seek an individual with a solution-oriented mindset who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage litigation strategies in collaboration with outside counsel.
• Supervise and mentor junior legal staff and interns.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Advocate for the firm’s interests in legal disputes and compliance issues.
• Implement policies that foster a culture of compliance and ethics.

Requirements

Education

• Advocate or Attorney qualification
• Postgraduate diploma in Commercial Law is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of legal experience with a focus on corporate law

Technical Skills

• Regulatory Compliance
• Litigation Management

• Negotiation Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Corporate Counsel (CCC)
• Certificate in Risk Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in Employment Law: Knowledge of South African employment legislation and practices.
• Proficiency in Afrikaans: Fluency in Afrikaans will be an added advantage.
