We are seeking a talented Urban Planner to join our innovative team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will work on various urban development projects, focusing on creating sustainable and community-oriented spaces. You'll collaborate with stakeholders, analyze land use policies, and design planning proposals to enhance the urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement urban plans that accommodate community needs.
• Prepare and present proposals to regulatory bodies.
• Work with GIS tools to analyze geographic data.
• Conduct feasibility studies on potential development sites.
• Engage in negotiation processes with developers and landowners.
• Document and track project progress to meet specified deadlines.
• Provide technical assistance to local authorities regarding urban policy.
• Generate reports highlighting project outcomes and impacts.
• Participate in local planning and zoning meetings.
• Foster relationships with community stakeholders to build trust.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3-7 years of experience in urban planning or a similar position
