The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing risk, evaluating insurance applications, and determining coverage solutions that meet client needs. Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential risks associated with insurance applications and claims.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information for underwriting.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in underwriting practices.
• Utilize underwriting software and other tools to facilitate risk assessment.
• Work closely with the actuarial team to align on pricing strategies.
• Review and update underwriting guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Finance

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting, insurance, or risk assessment

Technical Skills

• Insurance Regulations
• Statistical Analysis

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in commercial underwriting: Background in underwriting commercial lines, an advantage.
• Advanced degree or additional certifications in underwriting: Further qualifications are beneficial.
