Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Employee Relations Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture, addressing employee concerns, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of employee relations best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Implement employee engagement strategies to foster a positive work environment.
  • Advise on best practices for managing employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Support line managers with employee performance management processes.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback on employee experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while ensuring compliance.
  • Review and update company policies to reflect current labor laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel regarding employee relations matters as necessary.
  • Provide coaching to managers on effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Support workforce planning by analyzing employee relations metrics.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Psychology
  • Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of comprehensive experience in HR or employee relations
