Job Description

We are seeking a committed Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our veterinary practice, you will provide high-quality medical care for a wide range of animals. The ideal candidate should be a qualified veterinarian with experience in both surgery and consultation. You will also be responsible for consulting pet owners, performing surgeries, administering treatments, and handling emergency cases effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency surgeries on pets and other animals.
• Conduct physical examinations and diagnostic testing.
• Administer vaccinations and manage ongoing health care plans.
• Consult with pet owners regarding their animal's health and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records of all patients.
• Collaborate with veterinary nurses and assistants for optimal patient care.
• Effectively handle emergencies and critical care situations.
• Stay updated with the latest veterinary practices and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent
• Further specialization is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience in small animal practice is preferred
