Construction Site Supervisor

Job Description

We are searching for a motivated Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on our construction site in Port Elizabeth. You will be responsible for managing site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and collaborating with subcontractors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction teams to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure all safety standards are adhered to on site.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to discuss plans and specifications.
• Identify and resolve any conflicts or obstacles that arise during construction.
• Track and report on project milestones and deliverables.
• Conduct regular meetings with team members and subcontractors.
• Ensure quality control measures are in place and followed.
• Manage material requisitions and inventory on-site.
• Prepare reports for management on project status and issues.
• Promote a culture of safety and efficiency among site workers.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate in Construction Management
• Bachelors in Civil Engineering or equivalent is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in the construction industry
