Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Technician where you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our mechanical systems. We are looking for someone who is not just skilled but also passionate about engineering and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical tests to ensure equipment is functioning as designed.
• Implement preventative maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan.
• Collaborate with suppliers for parts acquisition and service contracts.
• Provide feedback on equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Help coordinate maintenance efforts during production shutdowns.
• Develop and update maintenance procedures to reflect best practices.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Requirements

Education

• Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience

Technical Skills

• Project Management
• Mechanical System Design

Certifications

• OSH Act 18001

Languages

• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.: Knowledge of quality management systems and standards.
• Experience with robotic systems.: Hands-on experience in working with industrial automation and robotics.
