Job Description

Join our team as a Youth Worker where you will support and empower young people to overcome social challenges in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community service, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to various situations. You will play a key role in developing programs that promote personal growth and resilience among youth.

Responsibilities

• Assist youth in building resilience and coping skills.
• Create engaging content for workshops and sessions.
• Monitor youth participation and engagement in programs.
• Develop strategies to reduce youth dropout rates.
• Foster a culture of respect and empowerment among youth.
• Engage in community advocacy efforts for youth services.
• Collaborate with mental health professionals when needed.
• Conduct outreach to recruit new participants.
• Evaluate program success and report findings to management.
• Support the development of volunteer programs to engage the community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology or Community Development
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working with youth or in community service
