Job Description

As a Legal Assistant based in Cape Town, you will assist with various legal procedures, maintain client files, and support attorneys in their day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about the legal field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with legal research and document preparation.
  • Manage and organize case files and client records.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates.
  • Prepare legal correspondence and court documents.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments for attorneys.
  • Maintain a filing system for legal documents and correspondence.
  • Assist in trial preparation and case management.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filing of legal documents.

Requirements

Education
  • National Diploma in Paralegal Studies or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Law is advantageous
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a legal environment.
