Responsibilities

• Create and review engineering designs and specifications.
• Evaluate existing structures for safety and performance.
• Lead engineering teams through project phases.
• Prepare and present project proposals to stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of all phases of structural work.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assess project risks.
• Maintain updated knowledge of engineering practices and industry trends.
• Prepare reports related to engineering projects for stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineering license preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in structural design

Technical Skills

• Reinforced Concrete Design
• Steel Design

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Collaboration

Certifications

• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) registration
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with energy-efficient design practices: Knowledgeable in green building practices and energy-efficient systems.
• Familiarity with the South African National Standards (SANS): Understanding of SANS and local building regulations.
