Job Description

As an Event Planner with Local Events Co., you will be responsible for the seamless execution of events, from corporate functions to social gatherings. Your duties will include managing timelines, budgets, and venues while ensuring high-quality service delivery. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can think on their feet and adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Design creative concepts for events that align with clients’ brand.
• Supervise event staff and volunteers during events.
• Monitor event progress and adapt plans as needed.
• Prepare post-event reports including feedback and recommendations.
• Manage multiple events simultaneously from planning to execution.
• Develop contingency plans for potential event disruptions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management or Hospitality Industry

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in event planning with a focus on corporate events

• Vendor Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Fluency in multiple languages: Preference for candidates who speak both English and Afrikaans fluently.
