Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Urban Planner to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of urban planning principles and a keen interest in sustainable community development. You'll engage with various stakeholders to drive planning projects that enhance urban spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Design and advocate for sustainable urban projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive urban design.
  • Assess socio-economic impacts of proposed developments.
  • Facilitate public meetings and workshops to discuss planning initiatives.
  • Research and incorporate best practices in urban planning.
  • Provide expert advice on land use and zoning regulations.
  • Assist in the development of municipal master plans and guidelines.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or a related field
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in urban planning or related roles
