Web Developer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Web Developer to join our vibrant team in Durban. The successful candidate will work closely with designers and IT specialists to create innovative and user-friendly web applications that meet our client needs. You will play a pivotal role in the development of web apps and will be responsible for the entire web development process from conception to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain web applications according to best practices.
• Engage in regular collaboration with UX/UI teams to understand designs and translate them into functional web pages.
• Monitor and optimize application performance metrics consistently.
• Support the development of mobile-friendly platforms.
• Participate in project planning and scoping sessions.
• Provide onboarding support for new developers and mentoring junior staff where needed.
• Ensure all aspects of the software development lifecycle are met, including compliance and security standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or similar field
• Certification in web development is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years in web application development

• PHP

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
