Pharmacist

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medication, advising patients on proper medication use, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. You should have a passion for helping others and a commitment to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill prescriptions and review medication orders.
• Educate patients on chronic disease management and medication adherence.
• Conduct medication therapy management sessions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient health outcomes and adjust medications as required.
• Implement pharmacy policies and procedures to promote quality improvement.
• Assist in inventory management and medication ordering.
• Participate in community outreach programs.
• Perform quality assurance checks on medication dispensed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
• Postgraduate studies in clinical pharmacy preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in pharmacy practice or clinical settings

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician Certification
