Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health and wellness.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Specialization in Family Medicine is an advantage

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in general practice

Certifications

• Advanced Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in Emergency Medicine: A background in emergency services or trauma care is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Services: Familiarity with mental health issues and related services is an asset.
