Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing mining operations. This includes ensuring compliance with safety standards, conducting geological surveys, and optimizing extraction processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive mining plans that optimize resource extraction.
• Oversee operational performance and implement improvements to enhance productivity.
• Engage with stakeholders, including local communities, to ensure project sustainability.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for management.
• Supervise the implementation of mining technologies and equipment.
• Coordinate with external agencies regarding compliance and regulatory issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining or Civil Engineering
• Postgraduate degree in a related field is preferred

• 5+ years of relevant mining experience with a focus on project development
