Job Description

As a Mining Engineer at our Durban site, you will utilise your engineering expertise to improve mining operations and performance. Collaborating closely with geologists and operational teams, you will ensure that all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mining operations from design to execution.
• Oversee the implementation of best practices for safety and efficiency.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the mining process.
• Coordinate with various departments to streamline processes.
• Provide technical support and mentoring for junior engineers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Conduct site inspections and audits.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Develop training programs for operational staff.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mining engineering or related roles
