Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Advisor to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, you will provide expert legal advice, develop strategies, and ensure compliance with applicable laws. The right candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of legal frameworks, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with compliance teams to ensure legal adherence.
• Evaluate the legal aspects of business decisions and initiatives.
• Conduct training and workshops on legal topics for staff.
• Assist in dispute resolution and mediation processes.
• Promote ethical business practices through legal counsel.
• Manage legal documentation and correspondence effectively.
• Act as a resource for legal inquiries from staff and management.
• Collaborate with external legal advisors when necessary.
• Prepare reports on legal matters for management review.
• Contribute to policy development related to legal issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent)
• Postgraduate qualification in Law is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the legal field, preferably in-house legal counsel
