Job Description

We are in search of a Corporate Lawyer to join our thriving team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of corporate law, with proven experience in advising clients on compliance issues and structuring complex transactions. You will play a crucial role in providing legal support to our clients throughout all phases of their operations.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate corporate agreements.
• Advise on regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Manage corporate filing and documentation processes.
• Lead due diligence activities for transactions.
• Provide training to clients on corporate law compliance.
• Support internal legal department with specific projects.
• Assist with corporate finance transactions.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent law degree
• Master's in Corporate Law is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in corporate law practice

Technical Skills

• Mergers and Acquisitions
• Regulatory Compliance

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Previous experience in a multinational corporation: Experience working in a corporate law department within a multinational setting.
