Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, while providing exceptional customer service to our patients. You will work closely with pharmacists to manage inventory, assist in medication preparation, and provide guidance on over-the-counter products.

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacist in daily operations of the pharmacy
• Provide counseling to patients regarding medication and health inquiries
• Manage inventory control and ensure timely reordering of stock
• Participate in health promotion activities and community outreach
• Document all pharmacy activities as per regulatory standards
• Assist with training and mentoring new pharmacy staff
• Conduct medication reviews and assist in chronic disease management

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Pharmacy Technology
• Bachelor's degree in health-related field is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
