Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from conception through production.
• Develop prototypes and optimize existing designs for performance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Train and mentor junior engineers within the team.
• Assist in budgeting and financial assessments for projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's preferred with a focus on Thermodynamics or Fluid Mechanics

Experience

• 5+ years' experience in product design or R&D roles
