Structural Iron and Steel Worker

Job Description

The Iron Erector will be responsible for the installation and assembly of iron structures such as buildings, bridges, and towers. They will work with a team to ensure that the structures are installed safely and within the agreed time frame, while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install and erect structural steel frames, beams, and columns.
• Secure metal structures using various tools and techniques.
• Perform routine inspections on installed structures.
• Collaborate with other construction team members to meet project deadlines.
• Participate in safety meetings and training.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Monitor installation progress and report any delays.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
• Assist in training junior workers in ironworking techniques.

Requirements

Education

• Valid driver's license
• Relevant certification in safety or project management is a plus

Experience

• Experience in the construction industry preferred

Technical Skills

• Ability to work at heights
• Knowledge of hand and power tools
• Experience with cranes and forklifts

• Ability to work well in a team
