Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our Port Elizabeth team. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in taxation to assist clients with compliance, planning, and strategy, enabling them to meet their tax obligations efficiently. You will work with a variety of clients from different sectors, ensuring they remain compliant while optimizing their tax positions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive tax advice to clients to ensure compliance.
• Analyze clients' financial positions to identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits and inquiries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and industry best practices.
• Work closely with other departments to provide integrated tax services.
• Mentor junior team members on tax compliance and best practices.
• Assist clients with tax disputes and negotiations with tax authorities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• Professional tax qualification (e.g. CA(SA) or equivalent) is preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in a tax consultancy role
