Responsibilities

• Analyze client data to assess risks and establish policy terms.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of existing policies and client needs.
• Document underwriting decisions and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with the sales team to strategize on new business opportunities.
• Evaluate market conditions and competitor offerings to adjust underwriting criteria.
• Provide training and support for junior underwriters when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting or similar role

Technical Skills

• Data Analysis
• Insurance Regulations Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Insurance Underwriter (CIU)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience with claims assessment: Experience in evaluating insurance claims can be beneficial.
• Certifications in Financial Risk Management: Relevant certifications will be considered an advantage.
