Responsibilities

• Evaluate client needs and provide necessary social services.
• Lead therapy and support sessions to assist clients in overcoming challenges.
• Act as a liaison between clients and community resources.
• Document client progress and maintain comprehensive records.
• Facilitate group discussions and workshops focused on social skills.
• Conduct follow-ups to ensure continuous support for clients.
• Engage in fundraising efforts to support social work programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in social services

Technical Skills

• Behavioral Assessment

Certifications

• Psychological First Aid Training
• Trauma-Informed Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual ability: Fluency in Afrikaans or isiXhosa is a plus.
• Training in trauma-informed care: Training or certification in trauma-informed practices is advantageous.
