Chemical Equipment Operator

Job Description

As a Chemical Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining caustic solutions essential for our manufacturing processes. You will regularly test pH levels, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mix chemicals accurately as per guidelines.
• Monitor chemical reactions and adjust equipment settings as needed.
• Test samples for quality assurance and consistency.
• Provide support in handling hazardous materials and follow proper disposal methods.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of safety standards and protocols.
• Assist in reporting any safety incidents or equipment failures promptly.
• Support training of new employees on chemical handling procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar field (preferred)

Experience

• 2+ years of experience handling caustic solutions
