Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical design and manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on optimizing efficiency and performance in engineering solutions. You will be responsible for developing engineering designs, conducting analyses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components.
• Conduct stress and thermal analysis simulations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve processes.
• Prepare detailed documentation and technical reports.
• Conduct testing and validation of prototypes.
• Support problem-solving during product development.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years in mechanical engineering roles, preferably in manufacturing.

• MATLAB
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Manufacturing Certification
