Job Description

The Communication Center Operator is responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate personnel, taking messages and providing general information.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers over the phone, providing them with assistance.
  • Direct calls appropriately within the organization.
  • Document all customer interactions and follow up when necessary.
  • Assist with the management of office communications.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
Experience
  • At least 1 year experience in a call center or customer service environment.
Technical Skills
  • Customer Service Principles Knowledge
  • Email and Chat Software Experience

Advantageous

  • Familiarity with call center operations: Understanding of the workflows and practices in a call center environment.
