Job Description

The Merchant Miller will oversee the procurement, processing, and distribution of wheat and other grains. This role involves managing the milling operations and ensuring product quality while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing, purchasing and processing raw materials for milling.
• Supervise milling operations and manage production schedules.
• Ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee the storage and distribution logistics for finished goods.
• Cultivate relationships with suppliers, farmers, and customers.
• Analyze market trends and adjust procurement strategies.
• Contribute to the development of new milling products.
• Prepare detailed reports on milling operations and product quality.
• Engage in training programs for operational staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the milling or agricultural industry
