Job Description

As a Surgical Pathologist, you will play a critical role in examining tissue specimens and providing accurate diagnoses that directly influence patient care. Collaborating closely with surgeons and healthcare professionals, you will determine the nature and extent of diseases while ensuring the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret histological sections and provide clear diagnostic conclusions.
• Coordinate with surgeons regarding specimen handling and processing.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory protocols.
• Participate in pathology peer review and quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies in pathology and genomics.
• Facilitate case discussions and clinical correlations during pathology rounds.
• Document and report findings with precision and clarity.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant health regulations and patient confidentiality standards.

Requirements

Education

• Medical degree from a recognized institution
• Additional qualifications in Molecular Pathology are an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years in surgical pathology with a focus on diagnostic interpretation.
