Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Investment Banker to join our Durban team. In this role, you will be tasked with advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and other strategic financial decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements during negotiations and closing of deals.
• Conduct industry research to inform investment strategies.
• Provide strategic insight into potential investment opportunities.
• Oversee the preparation of pitch materials and client proposals.
• Coordinate with finance teams to align investment strategies.
• Identify and build relationships with key industry stakeholders.
• Assist clients in structuring financial deals.
• Develop and implement client-oriented financial strategies.
• Review and assess legal documentation related to transactions.
• Provide thought leadership on investment banking best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field
• MBA with a focus on Finance is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in financial services or investment banking

Certifications

• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
