Sandblasting Supervisor

Job Description

The Sandblasting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sandblasting department to ensure that operations are performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sandblasting operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ensure that all sandblasting equipment and tools are in good working condition.
• Train and supervise a team of Sandblasters to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement sandblasting procedures and ensure that they are followed.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of blasting media, abrasives, and other materials used in sandblasting operations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that sandblasting projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Perform regular safety audits and risk assessments to maintain compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct training sessions on new technologies or methods in sandblasting.
• Prepare documentation and reports for management review.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant certification in sandblasting or related field

Experience

• Experience working in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Advantageous

• Experience with welding or other metalworking techniques: Hands-on experience that complements sandblasting operations.
