Job Description

As a Medical Biller Coder, you will be vital in the Revenue Cycle team, ensuring accurate billing of medical procedures. Your role involves reviewing medical documentation, assigning the correct codes, and maintaining compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire billing process for medical claims, including coding and submission.
• Communicate with patients regarding their billing statements and insurance cover.
• Work with the finance team to ensure timely payments and reconciliation.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information as mandated by HIPAA.
• Train junior staff on the billing and coding processes.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures for billing operations.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or degree in healthcare administration or related field
• Certification in medical coding and billing (e.g., CPC, CCS-P)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical billing and coding.

Technical Skills

• Medical Billing Software (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD)
• Microsoft Excel

Certifications

• CPC or equivalent coding certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
