Job Description

As a Social Worker at Community Services Organization in Port Elizabeth, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families facing challenges. Responsibilities

• Evaluate client needs through interviews and assessments.
• Design and implement individual and family therapy sessions.
• Maintain concise and comprehensive client records.
• Connect clients with community resources and supports.
• Advocate on behalf of clients within various systems.
• Facilitate group sessions focusing on mental health and well-being.
• Generate community awareness campaigns related to social issues.
• Provide professional development support to junior staff.
• Engage with stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
• Conduct follow-up visits to assess client progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology
• Master's degree in Social Work is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in social services

• Crisis Intervention
• Group Facilitation

Certifications

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
