Public Health Officer

Job Description

Join our team as a Public Health Officer where you'll focus on strategic health planning and the execution of programs aimed at improving public health. Your work will include data collection, health education outreach, stakeholder engagement, and program evaluation to ensure our objectives align with community needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute public health campaigns while engaging the target population.
• Provide training and support to community health workers.
• Compile and analyze epidemiological data to inform program decisions.
• Advocate for health policies that positively impact community welfare.
• Establish partnerships with local organizations to enhance health service provision.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements as needed.
• Facilitate feedback sessions to understand community health perceptions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field
• Master's in Public Health preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in public health or community health initiatives

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages to reach diverse communities.
