Pharmacist

Job Description

We're seeking a passionate and qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Durban. This role involves managing medication dispensing, providing patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician orders for prescription medications.
• Advise on drug interactions and alternative therapies.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest research and developments in pharmacology.
• Contribute to the development of pharmacy protocols and policies.
• Support health promotion and disease prevention activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• 3+ years of retail pharmacy experience

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy Practice
• Patient Counseling

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in Zulu and English: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Zulu, enhancing patient interactions.
• Experience in the hospital pharmacy setting: Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment.
