Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and design, and be proficient in using CAD software. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design modifications based on test feedback.
• Prepare project proposals and budgets.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material procurement.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting for all engineering activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with robotics: Basic knowledge of robotics and automation in manufacturing.
