Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to join our esteemed firm in Johannesburg. This role involves providing expert legal advice, drafting contracts, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage various legal matters efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and mitigate legal risks associated with business decisions.
• Lead negotiations to finalize service agreements and contracts.
• Provide litigation support and develop strategies for legal disputes.
• Engage with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Monitor changes in legal frameworks that may affect the company.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align legal advice with business goals.

Requirements

Education

• LLM or further specialization in Corporate Law
• Admitted attorney in good standing

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a corporate legal role, preferably in a multinational environment
