Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Probation Officers and Correctional Treatment Specialists to provide crucial support to the judicial system. The successful candidates will focus on monitoring and rehabilitating offenders to ensure their successful reintegration into society.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial interviews with offenders to assess needs and risks.
• Monitor behavioral changes and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss cases.
• Provide educational workshops on life skills and personal development.
• Network with employers to identify job opportunities for offenders.
• Ensure confidentiality and ethical standards in all dealings.
• Assist in reducing recidivism through effective programming.
• Track and analyze data on compliance and outcomes.
• Support policy development to improve probation processes.
• Engage in community outreach to promote awareness of rehabilitation.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Criminal Justice is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a legal or social services setting
