Logging Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Logging Equipment Operators with the ability to operate yarder equipment and rig logs for extraction. The ideal candidate will ensure safety protocols are followed and assist with various logging tasks.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate yarder equipment for efficient log extraction.
• Collaborate with the logging team to optimize operational efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report issues.
• Conduct safety briefings and ensure all team members are informed of hazards.
• Assist with other logging operations as directed by the Forestry Operations Manager.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating yarder equipment in a logging environment.
