Job Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced Architect (Residential/Commercial) to be part of our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will lead the design and development of projects, coordinate with various teams, and provide architectural insights that drive project success. A passion for sustainable design and community-oriented projects will be a significant asset.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed architectural designs for residential and commercial projects.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and feedback during the design process.
• Ensure all designs comply with building regulations and zoning laws.
• Conduct site assessments and inspections to evaluate project feasibility.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technology to enhance design practices.
• Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Master's degree in Urban Planning is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience focusing on sustainable architecture

• SketchUp
• BIM Software

Certifications

• Certified Green Building Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
• IsiXhosa: Basic
