We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager to join our vibrant team in Durban. This role involves overseeing all aspects of catering operations, ensuring that our clients receive the best culinary experiences and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event catering, staff management, and budget control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all catering operations including food preparation and service.
• Lead menu development with a focus on current culinary trends.
• Ensure all catering events meet the high standards of quality expected by clients.
• Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers for quality ingredients.
• Manage scheduling of staff for events, ensuring adequate coverage.
• Monitor financial performance and prepare reports for management.
• Develop training programs for new hires in the catering department.
• Assist in marketing strategies to attract new clients.
• Ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients pre and post events.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Catering Management or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in catering management or similar roles
