We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems design and a passion for innovation. You will be responsible for overseeing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that all engineering standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive engineering plans and specifications.
• Utilize CAD software to produce detailed drawings.
• Develop maintenance schedules for mechanical systems.
• Ensure all designs are cost-effective and feasible.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and feedback.
• Update project stakeholders on timelines and deliverables.
• Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
• Support research and development efforts for new technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical project management

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Mechanical Design

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in renewable energy systems: Knowledge of mechanical systems in renewable energy applications.
• Familiarity with robotics engineering: Experience with robotic systems and automation.
