Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Tax Consultant to join our dynamic Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of taxation laws and regulations in South Africa and have experience in handling client accounts. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning strategies, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns.
• Research and analyze tax laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions.
• Assist in tax audits and resolve inquiries from the revenue service.
• Develop tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Monitor changes to tax legislation and update clients accordingly.
• Collaborate with clients to improve their financial strategies.
• Maintain accurate tax records and client files.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation or related field
• Honours degree in Taxation is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a tax advisory role

Technical Skills

• Tax Strategy Development

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)
• ACCA qualification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with payroll tax management: Handling payroll tax related tasks and requirements.
