Job Description

As a Residential Construction Planner in Cape Town, you will oversee residential building projects from initiation to completion. Your role involves coordinating with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of residential construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects to develop construction drawings.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Review contracts and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Understand and follow health and safety regulations.
  • Manage changes to project scope and costs.
  • Report on progress and outcomes to upper management.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Preferred Master's degree in Construction Management
Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years in residential construction management
