Civil Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, with a focus on design and analysis of infrastructure projects. You will work collaboratively on diverse projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts in the preparation of civil engineering designs and documentation.
• Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to facilitate on-site project execution.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assess project viability.
• Review designs for compliance with regulatory standards and codes.
• Participate in project budget management and resource allocation.
• Advise on construction techniques and best practices.
• Foster relationships with local government and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols on project sites.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil design and project management

• PrEng Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
