As an Electric Utility Lineworker, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing electrical power systems, working both overhead and underground. Your expertise will ensure efficient and safe transmission of electricity across the grid.
Responsibilities
Safely install and maintain power lines and electrical systems.
Inspect power lines for damage and conduct necessary repairs.
Participate in emergency response efforts for outages.
Utilize safety gear and follow standard operating procedures at all times.
Document inspections and repairs, maintaining compliance records.
Assist in upgrading and installing new electrical equipment.
Engage in team meetings to discuss safety and project strategies.
Analyze trouble reports and develop solutions proactively.
Ensure proper use of tools and equipment to maximize efficiency.
Engage in continuous training on new technologies and safety protocols.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an electrical apprenticeship is preferred
Experience
5+ years of experience in the electrical utility industry
